What Happens

Rocksteady is a fun, engaging musical environment for you to explore some live instruments – including microphones, guitars, keyboards and drums!
This will be a Sensory experience, where the Rocksteady team will support you in experimenting with the instruments and finding out what they can do! Please bring your ear defenders/ other protection if you needed.

At the start of the session we will invite you to take a seat facing the instruments ( you are welcome to move about if you prefer / need to) and the Rocksteady team will play you a song, so that you can hear everything live.

We’ll spend some time talking through the instruments and then will move into breakout sessions where we will either explore the instruments as a group or learn a song on the instruments and make a band.

  • Session opens at 2pm - If you arrive before this time, please wait in the foyer / entrance to the Playhouse as there may be another group in the studio.
  • PACT staff will be in the venue and you are welcome to use the venue facilities for example - cafe bar, book corner / quiet areas / toilets
  • PACT Team will be waiting to check you in at 2pm - we will have a list of names people booked on so no need to bring proof of booking
  • If you leave the room for a break then your adult / support must go with you if you are under 18 or needing a p/a/carer to attend.
  • We will give warnings throughout the session of how long we have left.
  • If under 18 or if needed a responsible adult must remain on site / in the session/ with you for the duration .
