Links to PACT It was November 2005 when us co-founders met at an Essex SEND workshop. All of us had a story to tell, all on a journey. We decided our knowledge needed to be shared and we were on a mission for change! The next month we founded PACT Harlow.

As a Tax Accountant I have always looked after the accounts for PACT and became Chair in 2012 (until 2017) when we set up PACT For Autism as a registered charity. I am currently Trustee Treasurer.

Lived Experience My wonderful, happy son was diagnosed as Autistic and with severe learning difficulties at the age of two. At the time, I knew nothing about autism or how much our lives would change. Supporting my noisy, non-verbal son through a frustrating education system, finding ways to meet his sensory needs, and later navigating adulthood has been challenging—but incredibly rewarding.

Today, seeing how he is thriving fills me with pride. I couldn’t have achieved any of this without my PACT family.

Message to share Never give up, never write anyone off, we can all give and thrive when we come together.
