    History

History of PACT for Autism

From a group of Parents connecting with an idea, to the Charity we are today - lived experience at the core of all we do .

Founded in 2005 by a group of parents aiming to connect families and work to improve services along with creating opportunities for all to thrive in an inclusive society. In 2012, PACT became a registered charity. As our community grew and more adults began reaching out we expanded our focus to all ages.

We welcome anyone who identifies as Autistic, is seeking a diagnosis for themselves or a child, or simply wants to learn more about Autism and neurodiversity.

All of our staff, trustees, and volunteers have personal experience of autism and neurodiversity, bringing valuable lived experience to our work.

    To Support parents

To raise awareness of the specialised education needs of our children and what can be achieved by meeting those needs.

To create more learning and play opportunities for our children by improving access to local sport and leisure facilities.

    To improve other peoples understanding
